A song comes on at exactly the right moment.
You check the clock.
11:11.
Again.
You think about someone you haven't spoken to in months and suddenly their name appears somewhere.
And for a second you wonder:
Was that something?
Humans have been asking versions of that question for a very long time.
We look for patterns because patterns help us make sense of things.
Sometimes they're practical.
Sometimes emotional.
Sometimes spiritual.
And sometimes they're probably just coincidences that happen to arrive with excellent timing.
The interesting part isn't always whether the sign is “real”
Suppose you keep seeing something that reminds you of starting over.
You can spend hours trying to determine whether the universe deliberately sent it.
Or you can notice something else:
Starting over clearly means something to you right now.
That's information.
A symbol doesn't necessarily need to control your future to reveal something about your present.
That's one reason tarot works beautifully as a reflective tool.
You turn over an image.
Something about it catches you.
A memory surfaces.
A question changes.
You suddenly see the situation from an angle you hadn't considered ten seconds earlier.
Was the card destined to appear?
Maybe.
Maybe not.
But something happened when you saw it.
